Last week on Twitter Kaye was saying how she wanted to be part of a wardrobe challenge, both myself and Nicola replied saying we’d love to do one too, and so after a wee bit of discussion I began organising one. There were plenty of other lovely ladies interested and so here we are today!
We will be posting on the 7th of each month, and the aim of the challenge is to create an outfit to fit the theme, using clothes from our wardrobes, and yes that does mean digging deep into the depths and finding those long lost clothes! Hopefully one of us won’t end up in Narnia, but you never know with a bloggers wardrobe!
Anyway, on to today’s post.
We decided to start our challenge of quite simple and choose monochrome. I opted for something rather casual for a change, I don’t often do casual, or at least my casual isn’t other peoples casual. I went shopping and decided to fit the theme so that I could get myself and organised, because as you read this I will actually be up by Loch Ness. I have no idea what phone signal will be like never mind internet so i decided not to take the risk. I’m hoping that when we get out and about I will be able to check comments and things.
Denim shirt – Primark
Rad t-shirt – Primark
Skirt – Dorothy Perkins
Leggings – George at ASDA
Pumps – Flossys (Schuh Ebay Store)
I picked this t-shirt up on Good Friday when I went to Leeds for the day with my sister, when I saw it I knew I had to have it! You’ll actually see it i a couple of other blog posts in the coming weeks, if not again this week! I bought the skirt just before Christmas to wear for my works Christmas do, and I’ve worn it a number of times since, it has flecks of sparkle in which lends it to being dressed up, but I think I successfully managed to dress it down on this occasion.
My pumps were a wee bargain from Ebay, I paid 99p for them, and they were brand new from the Schuh store. I have bought shoes from the Schuh ebay store before but I tend to forget about it, and then I’m amazed when i find it again. I do recommend that you give it a visit because you can pick up a bargain!
I now recommend that you go and visit the other lovely ladies taking part in this challenge, they’ll be updating their blogs throughout the day, so if it’s not there now check back a little later.
